Higher Protein Breakfast

I thought I would share some quick and easy higher protein Breakfast ideas.

                        Sausage, Eggs & Toast =5 Points Plus
2 veggie sausage links-1/2 cup egg substitute-2 slices Sara Lee Delightful

                                Cheesy Eggs and Fruit= 2 Points Plus
1/2 cup egg substitute-1/2 oz.  low fat Cheddar Cheese- 1 cup Veggies- 1 medium orange

                                          Oatmeal, Sausage & Eggs=5 Points Plus
1/2 cup cooked Oatmeal- 2 veggie sausages-1/2 cup scrambled egg substitute- grapes

                                       Mushroom-Cheddar Scramble= 5 Points Plus
Spray pan with cooking spray. Saute 1/4 cup diced onion and 1/2 cup raw mushrooms until the onion softens. Pour in 1 cup egg substitute and stir to scramble. Top with 1 oz. shredded low fat Cheddar cheese.

                                           Sunny Egg Sandwich=6 Points Plus
Top 1/2 whole wheat English muffin with 1 oz. low fat Cheddar cheese, 1 large tomato slice and 1 egg cooked over-easy.

                                      Spinach and Swiss Omelet=6 Points Plus
Spray pan with cooking spray. Saute 1/2 cup cooked spinach or 1 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves. When warmed through and wilted, pour in 2 beaten eggs. Before completely set, add 1 oz. shredded low fat Swiss cheese. Fold.

                              Pineapple & Cottage Cheese= 4 Points Plus
1/2 cup pineapple canned in juice, 3/4 cup 1% cottage cheese

                                 Peanut Butter Toast & Egg Whites=4 Points Plus
1 slice whole wheat bread, 1 Tbsp. natural peanut butter, 2 hard-boiled egg whites
